Animated ringerThe fine peal of eight bells at St Columb Major, Cornwall, are rung on Sundays at 10:15am and for weddings and other major services and local and national events. Practices are normally held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm (except during July & August).

Visiting ringers, either individuals or bands, are always made welcome but if you're planning to join us on a practice night do check first. Sunday ringing goes ahead without fail except on the rare occasions when there is no service. Additions and exceptions to our normal ringing times are notified in the news feed (right).

Weston-super-Mare Ringing Holiday 2016We are an active group who enjoy socialising as well as ringing together. We hold an annual dinner, a traditional outing by coach normally to Devon, and also travel further afield for a three-day ringing holiday. This has taken us to ring at towers right across southern England from South Wales to Cambridge and down to the Isle of Wight. In 2016 we stayed at Weston-super-Mare and are pictured outside All Saints church at Clevedon.

FacebookQueen's 90th birthdayIn addition to church services bellringing has always marked special occasions in the life of the community and country. For example most years we are pleased to join in ringing for both St George's Day and, here in Cornwall, St Piran's Day, as well as on other significant occasions such as the recent 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth.
